MUSCAT: Police have advised motorists not to leave cars with engines running as it can lead to car theft.
The alert from Royal Oman Police (ROP) comes after a person was arrested in Muscat for several vehicle related thefts. “He targeted unlocked vehicles and stole cash, phones and personal belongings from inside,” ROP said on Wednesday.
“We advises citizens and residents not to leave their vehicles running, that they are locked before getting off, and not to leave cash and valuables in a visible place inside the vehicle,” the statement added.
