MUSCAT: Oman on Wednesday launched long-term residency for expat investors in the country.

The duration of the long-term residency is for 10 and five years subject to extension according to clear controls and procedures. Starting from October 3, expat investors can submit applications through the portal of the Ministry to obtain long term residency.

On Wednesday, the Sultanate granted long-term residency to 22 expat investors.

Following are the expats who have received long-term residency card in Oman:

• Charles Shaw, Founder & CEO of Bondoni
• Antoine Hadji Georgiou, Founder, National Trading Company
• Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil, Chairman and Managing director of Lifeline Hospital and Burjeel Hospital.
• Stephen Thomas, CEO of Renaissance Services SAOG
• Kiran Asher, Co-Founder, Al Ansari Trading Est
• Yousef Nalwala, Co-Founder Al Ansari Trading Est
• Navid Ahmed, Managing Director, Muscat Livestock and Trading Company
• Mohammed Ameen, Managing Director, Sea Pride
• Samih Sawiris, Chairman of Muriya Tourism Development
• P Mohamed Ali, Founder, Galfar Engineering Company
• Mohsen Al-Mihdhar, Managing Director, Oman Industrial Investment Company
