MUSCAT: After more than 18 months, over 360 mosques in Oman resumed Friday prayers.
The resumption of Friday prayers comes after they were suspended in March 2020 and indicates a major step towards a return to normal religious rituals in the country. According to the list issued by the Ministry of Religious and Endowment Affairs, 360 mosques in the country have been granted approval to hold Friday prayers.
Mosque capacity has been capped at 50 per cent. According to the decision, only those worshippers who are vaccinated are allowed entry.
