MUSCAT: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) on Thursday arrested two expatriates for allegedly running a counterfeit currency racket.
In a statement issued, ROP said suspects were charged for fraud and promoting counterfeit currency. “They (suspects) deluded victims in investing in their business and offered them a commercial deal through which victims can get a quick profit. In exchange of the financial benefits, they make them purchase foreign currencies,” ROP said.
ROP also urged people to be cautious while dealing with people and not to rush in order to obtain a quick financial profit.
