MUSCAT: Royal Oman Police has urged motorists to be cautious while using their bank cards at fuel filling stations after two expatriates were arrested in Salalah for fraud on Tuesday.
In a statement issued, ROP said two fuel station employees were arrested after they were “caught photographing bank cards of customers using their smartphones. They take photos of the bank cards when customers give cards to make payments. They later sent these pictures to people outside the country to use it for electronic purchases,” ROP explained. However, ROP did not reveal the name of the fuel station.
