Following Oman’s impressive win against Asian powerhouse Japan 1-0 in Tokyo last week, the Red Warriors will be looking to continue the winning streak. “We are going all out against the Saudis. This is going to be a special game for us as we are returning to the home ground after two years,” said Oman coach Branko Ivankovic.
Meanwhile speaking to reporters after arriving in Oman, Renard said he does not underestimate the Red Warriors. “I am closely watching the Reds,” he said. “They have a good coach and since his arrival the team has become more disciplined and their fighting spirit has improved. I was impressed by their fighting spirit in front of Japan. We do not underestimate them,” Renard added.
