Mahesh Narayanan’s Malik story revolves around a young man’s rise to prominence as he fights political corruption and police brutality while trying to bring positive changes to the lives of the people in his coastal town.
Based on real events, Malik portrays how politicians can manipulate the system and even cause communal discord to benefit from a situation.
The movie is intense and brilliant. Everything from the acting to cinematography is a class apart.

The enigmatic Fahadh Faasil yet again proves why he is so loved in the Malayalam film industry with a powerful performance as Suleiman.
Nimisha Sajayan, Vinay Forrt, Joju George and all the other actors have done justice to their roles too.
Considering the intensity and powerful scenes, this movie would have been great to watch on the big screen. However, it doesn’t lose its impact even with the OTT release.
Malik is a very well-made movie. Engaging and entertaining, this is the perfect movie to bring in the weekend (especially the long weekend we are set for in the Middle East).
