MUSCAT: Indian expat KP Mohamed Basheer who worked in Oman over the last two decades as a lecturer at the University of Technology and Applied Science is leaving the country that is his second home.
Basheer Saheb (as he is fondly called), who is also the President of Mahe Kootayma was given a virtual send-off by the Mahe community in Oman. He was also awarded a memento as a token appreciation for his sincere and tireless services to the needy. “Basheer saheb played an instrumental role in keeping the community as one and helping those in need during his tenure,” said a press note from Mahe Kootayma.
The memento was award to Mohamed Basheer by Hijaz Ashraf, a young and dynamic member of the Mahe Kootayma.

Mahe Kootayma is the oldest Indian community group in Oman formed in 1982. After inception, it has proven to be one of the best community groups which supports the poor and needy back home in India.
