MUSCAT: Oman will begin the annual midday break for outdoor workers during summer months starting from June 1 till the end of August, the Ministry of Labour has announced on Thursday.
In a statement issued, the Ministry said companies in Oman must stop work at outdoor sites between 12.30pm to 3.30pm from June 1 until the end of August.
Under Article 16 of Ministerial Decree No. 286/2008, outdoor workers in Oman are banned from working in high temperatures during the summer months.
