MUSCAT: Oman will receive 200,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine per week starting from June, Minister of Health said on Wednesday.
His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al Saidi said the vaccination rate in the country would exceed 30-35 per cent before end of August. “We expect to get approximately 200,000 doses of Covid vaccine per week starting from June, and the batches will continue to arrive,” Al Said said in an interview with Oman TV.
The Minister also urged parents of Grade 12 students to encourage their children to be vaccinated. “This disease is not limited to the elderly only and can affect all ages,” Al Saidi added.
