MUSCAT: Indian Schools in Oman has suspended all activities on Thursday as a mark of respect after the sad demise of Kanaksi Khimji.

Sheikh Kanaksi was instrumental in establishing Oman’s first English medium Indian School in Muscat (1975). Today, there are 21 Indian schools in Oman with over 47,000 students of the Indian diaspora reaping the benefits of a quality education.

Speaking to The Arabian Stories, Dr. Babysam Saamuel, Chairman of Board of Directors of Indian Schools in Oman said: “Kanak bhai’s passing away is a big loss for the Indian community in Oman. He was our role model. As a mark of respect, we have suspended all activities across all Indian schools in Oman.”
