MUSCAT: In the wake of rising coronavirus cases and growing number of patients admitted to intensive care units and hospital wards in the country, the Supreme Committee (SC) has banned all group gatherings including local events, activities and conferences.
In a statement issued the Public Prosecution has advised citizens and residents to fully adhere to these decisions taken by SC and to avoid legal accountability. “The Public Prosecution calls on citizens and residents to fully adhere to the decisions of the Supreme Committee to deal with Covid-19, and to fully adhere to the precautionary measures established in order to preserve public health and avoid legal accountability,” Public Prosecution said.
