One of the most respected personalities in the banking sector in Oman, the pioneer of Islamic banking in the country has more than 32 years of experience in the finance sector.
Currently, he serves as Chief Executive Officer of Alizz Islamic Bank that provides Sharia-compliant financial solutions and oversees the strategic direction of Oman’s industry leader in customer experience.

Al Harthi is a graduate of the Oman Institute of Bankers, a graduate from the Executive Management Programme at Harvard Business School as well as the Executive Management Programme at INSEAD. Also, he holds an MBA in finance from Leicester University, UK.
Besides, he is Chairman of Duqum Quarries and sits on the boards of the Harvard Business School Club of the GCC, the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn), the Oman Company for the Development of Special Economic Zone at Duqm (Tatweer) as well as a member of the board of trustees of the Gulf College.
