MUSCAT : The ministry highlighted that sellers who showcase products and receive orders through social media platforms must also obtain the required e-commerce licence, regardless of the products they offer.
“If you showcase products and receive orders through social media platforms, make sure to obtain an e-commerce licence by following a few simple steps,” the ministry stressed.
This applies to a wide range of online businesses, including those selling clothing, abayas, toys, cosmetics and other consumer goods.
Following the licensing process, business owners are encouraged to verify their online stores through the Maroof Oman platform at https://maroof.om/.
The platform enables sellers to display their business information, improve the transparency of their commercial activities and enhance their credibility with customers.
