MUSCAT: Oman Cement Company’s net profit rose 68.1% in the first nine months of 2026, supported by higher sales volumes, improved selling prices and tighter cost controls, Chairman Xu Gang said.
Net profit reached RO 9.878 million, compared with RO 5.876 million in the same period a year earlier.
Cement sales revenue increased 18.17% to RO 58.561 million, while sales volumes rose 9.55% to about 2.68 million tonnes. Improved average selling prices, operational efficiency and cost rationalisation supported the performance, Xu said.

The company is continuing to study a proposal to build a cement plant in Duqm with a clinker production capacity of 5,000 tonnes a day.
It is also working on an aggregates production project that would use spare crushing capacity to diversify revenue and support future expansion into ready-mix concrete and mortar.
Xu said competition from domestic producers and cement imports remained intense. He expressed support for initiatives to promote fair competition and address the impact of unfairly priced imports.
Demand is expected to remain stable in the fourth quarter, supported by infrastructure projects and construction activity, he said. However, planned maintenance requiring production facilities to shut down could affect output.
