PARIS : “Invest in Oman”, affiliated with the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, organised a meeting with representatives of the French business community in cooperation with the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in France and the French Business Confederation.
The meeting was attended by Her Excellency Ibtisam bint Ahmed Al Farouji, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion for Investment Promotion, and His Excellency Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Araimi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the French Republic.
Discussions focused on Oman’s competitive investment environment and potential areas of cooperation in sectors aligned with the Sultanate’s economic diversification priorities.

These included energy, renewable energy and hydrogen, water and resource management, waste-to-energy, space and advanced technologies, transport and infrastructure, engineering, digital technologies and healthcare.
The meeting forms part of the “Invest in Oman” initiative’s efforts to attract companies and institutions with strong investment potential by identifying their business interests and future plans and connecting them with suitable projects and opportunities in Oman.
Representatives from a broad range of French sectors participated in the discussions, alongside business networks and institutions specialising in consulting, finance, legal services and healthcare, as well as representatives of French government entities.
H.E. Al Farouji said France is an important market in Oman’s efforts to attract quality investments, stressing that the current focus is on matching opportunities available in the Sultanate with investors’ requirements and international expansion plans.
She added that the ministry aims to move discussions beyond merely presenting investment opportunities towards understanding investor needs and identifying areas where they overlap with Oman’s priority sectors.
She also highlighted the potential contribution of French companies through their expertise, technologies and capabilities in developing quality projects and strengthening value chains within the Omani economy.
H.E. Ambassador Al Araimi said such meetings play an important role in bringing the business communities of Oman and France closer together, noting that the strong bilateral relationship provides a solid foundation for expanding economic cooperation.
He added that the embassy remains committed to providing platforms that enable French companies to better understand the potential of the Omani market and explore opportunities that complement their expertise and international ambitions.
The meeting is expected to support wider engagement between Omani and French businesses and pave the way for sustainable investment projects and long-term partnerships.
