MUSCAT : The arrests were made by the Environment Authority in Dhofar, in cooperation with the Royal Oman Police, after the individuals were found in possession of wildlife meat that had been brought into the Sultanate without the necessary permits.
The authority said the incident constitutes a violation of the Wildlife Trade Regulation Law No. 45/2024, and legal procedures have been initiated against those involved.
The Environment Authority urged members of the public to comply with applicable environmental laws and regulations, warning that violations could result in legal liability.
