ASTANA : His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik highlighted the International Financial Centre of Oman (IFC Oman) on Tuesday as an opportunity to expand financial cooperation with Kazakhstan through exchanges of expertise and institutional partnerships.
Speaking at the Palace of Independence in Astana, His Majesty said the financial sector offered promising scope for closer collaboration as the two countries looked to develop their economic relationship.
“The Sultanate of Oman is developing the International Financial Centre of Oman, creating valuable opportunities to exchange expertise and build institutional partnerships,” His Majesty said.

His remarks identified a potential avenue for Kazakh cooperation with the centre, without specifying participating institutions or announcing an IFC-specific agreement.
IFC Oman, established under Royal Decree 8/2026, is designed as a platform for international finance and investment.
