The competition will continue on Saturday with two more matches. Muscat Club will face Al Khaboura at 4pm at the Al Khaboura Club sports hall, while Al Seeb will take on Al Ittihad at 4pm at the Al Amal Club sports hall.
The Youth Handball League features 10 clubs divided into two groups.
Group A consists of Muscat, Oman Club, Al-Oruba, Al-Khaboura and Saham, while Group B includes Al-Seeb, Nizwa, Al-Amirat, Al-Ittihad and Masirah.
Under the competition format, teams in each group will play a single round-robin stage based on a points system, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the second round.
The first-placed team in Group A will face the second-placed team in Group B over two matches, while the Group B winner will meet the Group A runner-up in another two-match contest.
In the event of teams being level on points and goal difference, the tie will be decided immediately by a penalty shootout without extra time.
The winners will advance to the final to compete for the league title, while the losing teams will contest the third-place playoff.
