MUSCAT: Oman’s National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking has launched a month-long nationwide awareness campaign aimed at increasing public understanding of human trafficking and strengthening efforts to prevent the crime.
The campaign, titled “Aman 2”, is being held under the slogan “Awareness is Everyone’s Right” and will include a series of programmes, activities and public awareness initiatives, the Oman News Agency reported on Sunday.
The committee said the campaign seeks to highlight the risks and consequences associated with human trafficking while promoting a stronger culture of prevention across society.

It will also focus on supporting and empowering victims, alongside efforts to improve public awareness of the different forms and potential indicators of human trafficking.
The campaign will run for a full month, with awareness activities designed to reach different sections of society as part of Oman’s broader efforts to combat human trafficking and protect vulnerable individuals.
