MUSCAT : The ministry said businesses planning to print or produce products featuring national symbols as part of National Day celebrations must secure a licence before proceeding with production.

A permit is required when products or celebration supplies feature the portrait of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the State Emblem featuring the khanjar and two swords, the map of the Sultanate of Oman, or the Omani flag.

The ministry also reminded businesses that the use of the royal emblem, royal mosques and images of the royal palaces is strictly prohibited.

To obtain a licence, applicants must submit their application in person to the Licensing Department and attach photographs of the product on which the national logos or symbols are intended to be used.

The ministry urged businesses planning National Day-themed products to complete the licensing process before the October 15, 2026 deadline to ensure compliance with the applicable requirements.
