MUSCAT : The municipality highlighted five key requirements for food establishments: continuous cleaning, proper storage and preservation, maintaining the safety of tools and equipment, personal hygiene among employees, and safe handling of food.
“Your adherence to the requirements protects everyone,” the municipality stated, stressing that food safety begins at the establishment and requires consistent adherence to health requirements throughout food preparation, handling and storage.
Regular cleaning of facilities, equipment and tools helps maintain hygienic conditions, while proper storage and preservation can help protect food from contamination and deterioration.
The municipality also emphasised the importance of employee personal hygiene and safe food-handling practices as part of efforts to safeguard consumers.
