MUSCAT : An Asian woman has been arrested in Al Khoudh in Muscat Governorate after allegedly attacking her mother with a bladed weapon, resulting in her death, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) said.
According to a statement issued by the police, the woman subsequently attempted to take her own life following the alleged assault.
The Muscat Governorate Police Command arrested the woman in connection with the incident, the ROP said.

Police did not disclose further details about the circumstances surrounding the incident or the identities of those involved.
The ROP said the necessary legal procedures were being completed.
