MUSCAT: DEEPAL has been named ‘New Energy Vehicle Brand of the Year’ at the fifth TAS Oman Business Awards, recognising the automotive brand’s growing presence in Oman’s evolving new-energy vehicle market.

The award was presented during the TAS Oman Business Awards ceremony at IntercityHotel Muscat, which brought together leading companies, entrepreneurs, executives and achievers from across the Sultanate.

DEEPAL is focused on new-energy mobility, combining electrification with intelligent vehicle technologies and contemporary automotive design as consumers increasingly explore alternatives to conventional vehicles.

The brand’s presence in Oman comes at a time when the Sultanate is accelerating its transition towards cleaner mobility and developing the wider ecosystem required to support electric and new-energy vehicles.

The New Energy Vehicle Brand of the Year award recognises DEEPAL’s efforts to introduce next-generation mobility solutions to the Omani market and contribute to changing expectations around technology, efficiency and the driving experience.

The recognition also highlights the growing importance of new-energy vehicles within Oman’s automotive landscape as manufacturers and dealerships expand their electrified offerings.

Organised by The Arabian Stories (TAS), the TAS Oman Business Awards recognise businesses, entrepreneurs, leaders and achievers for excellence, innovation, leadership and impact across Oman’s business landscape.

The 2026 ceremony marked the fifth edition of the awards, with 25 winners honoured across a diverse range of sectors.

The event was held under the patronage of HE Khalid bin Hilal Al Maawali, Chairman of the Majlis Al Shura, at IntercityHotel Muscat.
