MUSCAT: The earthquake was detected at 11:53 am local time, with its epicentre located approximately 135 kilometres northeast of Salalah, according to the Earthquake Monitoring Center.
The earthquake occurred at a depth of 7 kilometres.
The tremor was classified as minor, with the reported magnitude of 2.1 on the Richter scale.
