MUSCAT: The law also prohibits students from using social media, news outlets or any other means to engage in blackmail, defamation, spreading rumours or causing harm to society or members of the school community, including students and staff.
Under Article 48, students are prohibited from violating public order or public morals and from disrupting the conduct of classes or examinations.
The provisions further prohibit the promotion, distribution, use or possession of narcotic, intoxicating or stupefying substances, as well as any other psychotropic substances.

Students are also prohibited from promoting beliefs or ideas that may undermine the unity and values of society.
