Oman condemns attacks on civilian, economic facilities in Saudi Arabia

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses solidarity with Saudi Arabia and calls for intensified efforts to contain regional tensions and protect maritime security.

MUSCAT : Oman on Tuesday condemned attacks targeting civilian and economic facilities in several cities in Saudi Arabia, expressing solidarity with the Kingdom and rejecting actions that threaten civilians, commercial vessels and the safety of maritime navigation.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs called for intensified efforts to contain regional tensions and create conditions for calm and understanding, allowing political and peaceful solutions to move forward.

The Sultanate stressed the importance of safeguarding regional security and stability, while reiterating its rejection of attacks against civilians, civilian infrastructure and commercial shipping.

Oman also warned against actions that could threaten the security and safety of maritime navigation, underscoring the need for de-escalation and dialogue amid heightened tensions in the region.
