Rwanda President Kagame leaves Oman after two-day official visit

Rwandan President Paul Kagame departed Oman on Tuesday after a two-day official visit that saw the two countries sign eight agreements and memoranda of understanding and pledge to deepen economic and investment ties.

SALALAH : Rwandan President Paul Kagame left Oman on Tuesday after concluding a two-day official visit to the Sultanate, Oman TV reported.

Kagame was seen off at the Royal Airport in Salalah by HH Sayyid Marwan bin Turki Al Said, Governor of Dhofar, and other officials.

During the visit, Kagame held talks with His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, with the two leaders discussing ways to strengthen bilateral relations and expand economic and investment cooperation.

Oman and Rwanda also signed two agreements and six memoranda of understanding covering areas including visa exemptions, taxation, agriculture, logistics, investment and strategic cooperation.
