SALALAH: Oman and Rwanda signed eight agreements and memoranda of understanding at Al Hosn Palace in Salalah on Tuesday, as the two countries moved to expand economic ties and facilitate investment.
The package included two agreements covering mutual visa exemptions for holders of diplomatic, service and special passports, and the avoidance of double taxation, according to Oman TV.

Six memoranda of understanding were also signed, covering cooperation in agriculture and logistics, development of land and dry ports, supply chain services, investment promotion, employment and a strategic partnership between the two countries.
The agreements were signed during Rwandan President Paul Kagame’s two-day official visit to Oman, during which he held talks with His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.
The two leaders held official discussions at Al Hosn Palace on Monday, focusing on opportunities for cooperation and investment in mining, renewable energy, food security, ports, logistics and healthcare.
