Al Nasiri said the management of Al Suwaiq Industrial City continues to work with relevant public and private sector partners to accelerate the delivery of essential services to the city and its investors.
Efforts are also focused on attracting further investments, facilitating procedures and organising awareness initiatives highlighting the investment opportunities and incentives available in the industrial city.
He said the measures form part of Al Suwaiq Industrial City’s broader strategy to attract value-added industrial projects, diversify industrial activities and strengthen the sector’s contribution to the local economy.
The development is also expected to create fresh opportunities for small and medium enterprises, while supporting industrial supply chains and related services.
Meanwhile, the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates, Madayn, is studying a number of additional investment applications received recently.
The proposed projects span industries including the manufacture of multi-purpose electric motors and generators, soft and non-alcoholic beverages, and cosmetics, reflecting growing investor interest in the facilities and services offered by Al Suwaiq Industrial City.
The industrial city has been allocated a total area of 12.2 million square metres, of which Madayn plans to develop 1.3 million square metres in the first phase.
