MUSCAT: Indian rap pioneer Baba Sehgal is set to perform in Muscat on October 29, 2026, in a live show blending some of his best-known music with the comic style that has defined his career for more than three decades.
The show, to be held at the Sheraton Oman Hotel, will bring Sehgal’s distinctive brand of Hindi rap and humour to Oman, appealing both to fans who followed his rise in the 1990s and younger audiences familiar with his unconventional performances.
Sehgal emerged as one of the earliest artists to take rap into India’s mainstream music scene, building a following with catchy lyrics, playful wordplay and comedy at a time when the genre was still relatively unfamiliar to Indian audiences.
