MUSCAT: The approval remains subject to the fulfilment of all applicable requirements and obligations under the Companies Law, as well as other relevant legislation and regulatory requirements, the company said in a disclosure to the Muscat Stock Exchange.
Al Suwadi Power said it is currently awaiting the required approvals from other relevant authorities before the proposed merger can proceed.
The disclosure follows the company’s earlier announcement on May 10, 2026, concerning its preliminary assessment of a potential merger with Al Batinah Power Company.

The company said it will continue to keep the market and its shareholders informed of any material developments relating to the proposed merger in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
