MUSCAT : The seizure was carried out as part of the authority’s ongoing market inspection efforts aimed at monitoring products available to consumers and enhancing safety standards ahead of the school season.
The seized items included 463 school bags, 166 notebooks, 158 stickers, and 130 rulers, along with 109 pencils and various other school supplies.
The CPA said the products were found to contain images and symbols that did not comply with applicable requirements. The authority subsequently took the prescribed legal and regulatory measures and placed the seized products in custody in accordance with the relevant regulations.

The inspection campaign forms part of the CPA’s continuing efforts to ensure that products sold in Muscat Governorate meet consumer protection requirements and do not contain non-compliant content that could affect consumer safety or violate applicable standards.
