MUSCAT : Since its opening, the museum has attracted strong interest from visitors from within Oman and abroad. Omanis accounted for 81 per cent of total visitors, while international tourists made up the remaining 19 per cent.

To mark the occasion, the museum organised a special celebration for its millionth visitor, who was honoured and taken on an exclusive tour through the museum’s halls. The visit showcased key historical exhibits, interactive experiences and modern technologies used to present Oman’s rich history and civilisation.

Eng. Al-Yaqdhan bin Abdullah Al-Harthi, Director General of Oman Across Ages Museum, said the milestone was also a celebration of every visitor who had come to discover Oman’s history and cultural heritage.

He said reaching one million visitors was the result of continuous efforts since the museum’s opening and would serve as further motivation to enhance and develop the overall visitor experience.

Al-Harthi added that the achievement reflects the level of interest and trust the museum has gained as a cultural, educational and tourism destination.

Oman Across Ages Museum was officially opened on March 13, 2023, under the patronage of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.
