Indian expat airlifted to hospital after road accident in Oman

MUSCAT: An Indian expatriate injured in a road accident in Oman was airlifted to hospital by Royal Oman Police aviation, authorities said on Saturday.

The Royal Oman Police said its aviation unit carried out an emergency medical evacuation of the injured Indian national to Nizwa Hospital for further treatment.

According to police, the man sustained injuries in a traffic accident that occurred around 40 kilometres south of the Wilayat of Haima.

A police aircraft was deployed to evacuate the injured man from the area and transport him to Nizwa Hospital, where he is receiving medical care.

The ROP did not provide further details about the circumstances of the accident or the nature of his injuries.

Police said the expatriate remains under medical observation.
