MUSCAT: Oman recorded a high of 46.2°C in Hamra Al Drooa over the past 24 hours, making it the hottest location in the country during the period, according to data from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
Temperatures remained above 45°C in several areas, with Muqshin and As Sunainah both recording 45.7°C, followed by Fahud at 45.5°C and Dima Wattayeen at 45.0°C.
Ibri recorded 44.9°C, while temperatures reached 44.6°C in Al Buraimi, 44.3°C in Marmul and 44.2°C in Al Mudhaibi.

Elsewhere, Haima recorded 43.7°C and Samail 43.6°C as high temperatures persisted across several parts of the Sultanate.
The figures were recorded by CAA meteorological stations during the 24-hour period ending Thursday, August 27, 2026.
