MUSCAT : In the Wilayat of Al Buraimi, rainfall was recorded over Radhma, Rakda, Al Harim, Al Fayyad, Sukudi and Al Shabaka. The downpours led to the flow of several wadis, including Al Harim, Sukudi, Al Talai’i and Al Shabaka, while a number of waterfalls were also reported.
The Wilayat of Mahdah also experienced rain accompanied by hail, particularly over the villages of Al Khatwa, Al Khubain, Al Jazira, Al Juwaif, Al Khadra and Abul, as well as surrounding mountainous areas.
The rainfall caused several streams and wadis to flow, including Wadi Sharm, Al Juwaif and Al Khubain.

Al Buraimi has witnessed periods of rainfall in recent days, with official figures showing that the wilayat recorded 19mm of rain between August 22 and 24, among the highest totals recorded across Oman during that period.
Recent rainfall has also replenished dams in Al Buraimi and Mahdah, with significant quantities of water collected following earlier wadi flows in the governorate.
