MUSCAT: The expected conditions may be accompanied by strong descending winds and hail, according to forecasts based on the Omani numerical weather model.
The alert covers the Hajar Mountains and surrounding areas, with the possibility of the weather activity extending to desert areas of Al Dhahirah, Al Buraimi, Al Dakhiliyah and Dhofar Governorates.
Residents and motorists in the affected areas are advised to remain alert as thunderstorms, gusty winds and hail can lead to rapidly changing conditions and reduced visibility
