MUSCAT : The farm, managed by TANMIA and backed by a RO 2.1 million investment from Future Fund Oman, is developing production of more than 40 varieties of high-quality organic crops. The overall project size stands at RO 4.3 million.
The expansion is part of Oman Investment Authority’s efforts to support strategic sectors and encourage investments that contribute to economic diversification and domestic food production.
Yuzu supplies its organic produce directly to major hotels, restaurants, supermarkets and consumers, helping expand the market share of locally produced agricultural products and strengthen links between domestic producers and the wider food and hospitality sectors.
The farm is described as the only USDA-certified organic farm in Oman, adding an international certification dimension to the country’s growing organic agriculture sector.
With the expansion from 4 hectares to more than 40 hectares, the farm is expected to significantly increase its production capacity and the range of organic crops available to the local market.
