MUSCAT : As part of its commitment to supporting youth and strengthening partnerships with educational institutions and community, Meethaq Islamic Banking from Bank Muscat participated as the Platinum Sponsor of the 16th edition of the National General Assembly (NGA 16) for medical students, held from 20th to 22nd of August at the InterContinental Muscat Hotel. The opening ceremony was held under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Said Harib Al Lamki, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Health Affairs, in the presence of Ali Ahmed Al Lawati, Assistant General Manager of Meethaq Corporate Banking, alongside officials, academics and specialists from the health and innovation sectors, and medical students from various colleges across the Sultanate.
Held under the theme “Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation in Healthcare,” this year’s edition provided a platform to explore a range of topics related to emerging technologies and their growing role in healthcare. The event highlighted the importance of keeping pace with rapid technological developments and enhancing students’ awareness of the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence to improve the efficiency of the healthcare services, while encouraging innovative and forward-looking thinking.
Throughout the 3-day event, Meethaq’s team engaged with students and participants, introducing them to a range of Shari’a-compliant banking products and services designed to meet different financial needs and aspirations. These included the Meethaq Savings Plan, Home Financing, Credit Cards and Maal Card, while the team also responded to visitors’ enquiries about Meethaq’s various banking solutions including Meethaq digital channels and banking applications.
