MUSCAT – The loans supported investment projects, the national economy and self-employment initiatives.
This was achieved through a package of facilities and innovative financing solutions tailored to meet the aspirations of various business segments, ranging from micro-enterprises to large corporations.
Yahya Rashid Al Riyami, Director of the Development Bank branch in Al Buraimi Governorate, stated that loan approvals at the branch during 2025 totalled approximately 170 loans valued at RO 2.7 million. He noted the diversity of these loans, which encompassed micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, in addition to operational and seasonal financing facilities.
He further indicated that these loans are distributed across multiple sectors, including manufacturing, agriculture, livestock, industry, education, health, tourism, logistics, and home-based projects.
Al Riyami added that the branch’s lending portfolio has surpassed the RO 7 million mark, reflecting a 15 per cent increase compared to 2024.
