Al Maha assesses damage at Oman’s Samail fuel station; no injuries reported, reopening expected soon

Al Maha Petroleum Products Marketing Company said its fuel station in Samail is expected to reopen within the next few days after a vehicle fire temporarily shut the facility, with no injuries or fatalities reported.

MUSCAT: Al Maha said the station is currently undergoing cleaning and a comprehensive assessment following the fire, which broke out in a vehicle at the site.

The company confirmed that no injuries or fatalities were recorded in the incident, which was brought under control in coordination with the relevant authorities.

Al Maha said teams are assessing the damage and completing the necessary work to ensure the site meets required safety standards before operations resume.

The company expects the fuel station to return to normal operations within the next few days once the assessment, cleaning and safety procedures have been completed.

Al Maha said the safety of its customers, employees and the wider community remains its highest priority, and thanked the relevant authorities for their swift response and cooperation in dealing with the incident.
