Qatar permanently bans 27 individuals from healthcare sector over fake certificates

Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has permanently banned 27 individuals from working in the country’s healthcare sector after they were found to have submitted falsified experience certificates while applying for professional practice licences.

Doha: The violations were detected during the first half of this year as part of the ministry’s screening process for healthcare professionals seeking registration and licensing.

Dr Saad Al Kaabi, Director of the Department of Healthcare Professions (DHP) at the MoPH, said the fraudulent certificates were identified during the initial stages of the licensing process, before any practice licence could be issued.

He said preliminary screening is designed to detect false or inaccurate credentials early and prevent unqualified applicants from entering the healthcare system.

The ministry said applicants’ academic qualifications and professional experience are verified in cooperation with specialised institutions to ensure the authenticity and accuracy of the information submitted
