The innovative “Khareef Portal” interactive screens have attracted significant interest and engagement from visitors across all segments of society, delivering a unique experience that connects the Governorates of Muscat and Dhofar through a live, real-time broadcast between the Bank’s booths at Oman Mall and Uptown Salalah. The initiative has enabled visitors at both locations to experience the atmosphere of the Khareef season and follow activities taking place simultaneously. The launch of the interactive screens reflects Bank Muscat’s commitment to leveraging modern technology to enhance visitor experiences while showcasing the Sultanate of Oman’s rich tourism attributes.
Alongside the interactive activities, Bank Muscat’s sales team continue to welcome visitors, answer their enquiries and introduce them to the Bank’s key banking solutions, products and exclusive promotional offers. These include special offers as part of the Bank’s loyalty programme, Bank Muscat Rewards, when customers use Bank Muscat credit cards at restaurants and cafés with a Bank Muscat POS machine across Dhofar Governorate. Valid until 31st of August, the Food & Beverage (F&B) offer allows customer to earn upto 2x reward points, encouraging customers to make the most of their credit cards during the Khareef season. Visitors will also learn about the benefits available when applying for new Bank Muscat credit cards, including the opportunity to enter a prize draw to win an Apple Watch or an iPhone, subject to meeting the required spending criteria, with the promotion running until 30 September. In addition, the team will highlight the Bank’s dedicated financing offer for electric vehicles, reflecting Bank Muscat’s commitment to encouraging sustainable mobility solutions. This offer includes a preferential interest rate, a special “Khareef Dhofar” edition vehicle registration plate offered in collaboration with the Royal Oman Police, and a waiver of the first year’s credit card annual fee for customers applying for electric vehicle financing by 15th of September. This initiative forms part of Bank Muscat’s ongoing commitment to supporting the adoption of sustainable mobility solutions.

This has created a distinctive experience that strengthens connections between the two cities and brings the unique atmosphere of the Dhofar Khareef season to audiences across Oman, reflecting the Sultanate’s growing position as a tourism destination that embraces innovation and technology to deliver exceptional visitor experiences. The two booths have also attracted visitors of all ages through a programme of interactive activities, family entertainment, competitions and dedicated experiences for children, while giving the public the opportunity to follow events taking place at the other location in real time. The interactive activities will continue until the 17th of August 2026.
