MUSCAT- As part of ongoing commitment to opening the doors of the banking world to future generations, offering them a behind-the-scenes look at how a modern bank operates and the many exciting career paths it offers, Bank Muscat, the leading financial services provider in the Sultanate of Oman, organized Future Banker Day event at its Head Office, with the participation of a group of employees’ children aged between 15 and 17. The event brought together an enjoyable, educational and exploratory experience.
The event adopted an interactive approach that blended entertainment with hands-on experience. The day’s programme opened with an ice-breaking session and interactive activities, followed by a welcome address delivered by Khalfan Bot, alongside a comprehensive presentation covering the Bank’s founding journey, its leadership in the Omani banking sector, its digital transformation path and its initiatives in employee engagement and community responsibility.
The programme also featured a series of introductory presentations, including cybersecurity and fraud awareness, that gave participants the opportunity to learn about operations within key departments, in addition to a group challenge session that encouraged the children to embrace creativity and teamwork.

The event also included a field discovery tour that took participants to the Branch, Jadara Academy, AI Lab, the Command Centre and the Cards Team, allowing them to gain firsthand insight into the diversity of specializations and future study and career opportunities available within the Bank.

A number of participants expressed their happiness with the experience. Mais Fahad Al Amri, 15 years old, said: “I really enjoyed the departmental discovery tour, especially visiting the AI Lab, where I learned about a side of technology used within the Bank. Today’s experiences and activities opened up new horizons for my professional future.”
Hamoud Younis Al Hasani, 17 years old, said: “What I enjoyed most was visiting the Command Center, where I got to see just how much work happens behind the scenes. We also had the chance to ask questions openly and came away with practical advice and valuable insights.”
This initiative reflects Bank Muscat’s belief in the importance of introducing young people early to the diverse career opportunities within the banking sector and instilling the concept of career planning among employees’ children; opening their eyes to future career paths in technology, finance, risk management, marketing and leadership. From a community perspective, the event carries meaningful educational value by fostering professional awareness and a sense of institutional belonging among the target age group.
This event also builds on Bank Muscat’s ongoing efforts to introduce a culture of innovation and an entrepreneurial spirit among younger generations. The Bank previously organized its Educational Camp for children, aimed at promoting concepts of entrepreneurship and innovation through a series of interactive educational activities designed to build participants’ capabilities and encourage them to develop and professionally present innovative business ideas.
Accordingly, Bank Muscat will continue to play a leading role in supporting initiatives that contribute to building an informed generation, aware of the opportunities within the banking sector and capable of contributing meaningfully to the future of the national economy.
