MUSCAT: The centre said the requirement is in line with the provisions of the Food Safety Law and Ministerial Resolution (No. 69/2024) concerning the registration of food substances and their advertising or promotion.
The directive applies to food handlers, companies, institutions, advertising agencies, influencers, content creators and other parties involved in promoting food products.
The Food Safety and Quality Centre stressed that legal action will be taken against anyone who violates the applicable laws and regulations governing food product advertising and promotion.
