MUSCAT : Dhofar Foods & Investment SAOG (DFI) has appointed Vipul Bahl as its Chief Executive Officer, effective July 22, 2026, the company announced in a disclosure to the Muscat Stock Exchange.

Bahl joined the company on April 22, 2024, as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and was subsequently appointed Acting Chief Executive Officer on July 10, 2024. His appointment as CEO formalises his leadership of the company after serving in the acting role for nearly two years.

He holds a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi and a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Chandigarh, India.

According to the company, Bahl brings more than 20 years of professional experience in the food and dairy industry across the Middle East and Africa, having held several senior leadership and executive positions during his career.

Founded in the early 1980s as Dhofar Cattle Feed Company, Dhofar Foods & Investment has grown into one of Oman’s leading food and agribusiness groups, with operations spanning the Sultanate and international markets.

Among its flagship businesses is Asafwah Dairy, established in 1983, which operates one of the largest single-site dairy farms in Oman. The company is widely recognised for its Asafwah Fresh Milk brand and produces a broad range of fresh dairy products for the local market.

The appointment comes as DFI continues to strengthen its position in Oman’s food security and agribusiness sectors through investments in dairy production, animal nutrition and food manufacturing.

The company said it wishes Bahl success in his new role as it continues to pursue sustainable growth and operational excellence.
