DOHA : The Qatari capital will host the qualifiers from July 25 to 30, bringing together Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Bahrain. The five Gulf teams will compete for a single qualifying place in the continental finals.

Oman has entered the final stage of preparations, with the technical staff focusing on tactical drills, player fitness and improving coordination within the squad ahead of the opening match.

The team’s participation follows a comprehensive training programme lasting several weeks. It included an overseas camp in Bahrain from July 2 to 15, where the players contested five friendly matches against Bahraini clubs.

An internal camp was also held at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher to further strengthen the players’ physical and technical readiness.

The qualifiers will be played in a single round-robin format, with each team facing the other four sides. The team finishing at the top of the standings will qualify directly for the AFC Under-18 Championship finals.

Following its opening match against Kuwait, Oman will face Bahrain on July 27 and hosts Qatar on July 29. The national team will conclude its campaign against Saudi Arabia on July 30. July 28 has been designated as a rest day for all participating teams.
