MUSCAT : A magnitude 4.9 earthquake struck the Arabian Sea on Friday, about 239 km south of Salalah in Oman’s Dhofar Governorate, according to the Earthquake Monitoring Center at Sultan Qaboos University.
The earthquake occurred at 4:01 p.m. local time and was recorded at a depth of 10 km, the centre said in a statement.
