WASHINGTON – The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said in a statement posted on X that American forces targeted Iranian command centres, air defence systems, missile and drone capabilities, and coastal surveillance facilities.
According to CENTCOM, the strikes hit multiple locations, including the southern port city of Bandar Abbas, home to Iran’s largest port and key military installations.
The military said the operation also targeted coastal defence systems and cruise missile sites during a 90-minute wave of strikes.
